Reversible Headband

Got 15 minutes?

You can make this reversible headband in 15 minutes.

Here's how to do it:

Measure from the top of your head, behind both of your ears and again to the top, where you started and then add three more inches to that measurement.

Here's what you'll need:

1. Cut two coordinating strips of fabric that measure 4" wide and the length of your head measurement.

2. One hair rubber band. ( I used a Goody thick rubber band)

Right sides facing down, fold over one side measuring 1 1/4" and iron the strip flat and fold over the remaining side 1 1/4" and iron flat.  You should have two finished strips that measure 1 1/2" wide.  Don't worry about the raw edges, they will be sewn inside each other.

Place the two ends together with the right sides facing down and attach the two end edges together with a pin and sew a 3/4" seam.

Add the rubber band to the middle of the sewn seam and fold the strips together laying the wrong side on top of each other and sew a straight line across to seal the rubber band in place.

Pull the rubber band through the other side.  The rubber band is now in the middle between the wrong sides of the fabric.  Repeat the same process with the rubber band pulling the two sides in to create the same end like the previous one with a 3/4" seam.

The raw sides are now laying on top of each other with the rights side facing out on both sides.  This is the finished look before you sew it together.

Pin the strips together to secure them together for sewing.  Using a 1/4" seam allowance to sew the entire headband together.

You'll have a finished reversible headband you can wear with two options.

Super cute and super easy to make with scraps and a rubber band!
